Swedish Automotive Brand Volvo Recalls Record Number Cars!
Volvo, one of the safest car brands in the world; Recalls 730 thousand vehicles due to a failure in the Autonomous Emergency Brake (AEB) system used in their cars!
The 2019 XC60 test detected a malfunction by a Danish company. While testing the autonomous emergency braking system of the XC60 model, the firm realized that this hardware, called AEB, was not activated.
The system warns you out loud if you continue to drive without reacting to an obstacle while you are traveling with your car. The car stops braking automatically when you continue to react.
After the test results are published, the XC60 subject to the test is sent to the center in Gothenburg. The brand realizes that this problem is common in all models that have been used since January 21, 2019, where the system is used.
Volvo models subject to recall; S60, S90, V60, V60 Cross Country, V90, V90 Cross Country, XC40, XC60, and XC90.
According to the consumer reports, he recalled that the cars that were recalled were models with AEB equipment manufactured before March 2020. The system cannot see the person or the car that is driving in front of the vehicle and that can prevent it.
Volvo services will fix these malfunctions in the AEB system for free. The brand will provide the necessary transportation to the owners of the affected vehicles in May and will inform them.
