In an interview with Automobil Woche, VW Group product strategy expert Michael Jost said,

We want to define our brands more clearly in the future. Seat presents its more emotional and emotional cars to its customers with the Cupra brand. Skoda can be preferred more in Eastern European markets. Skoda is also very ambitious in terms of functionality.

The group wants to position the Seat brand in a higher class. Skoda will compete with brands preferred in Eastern European markets in the coming years. Thus, VW Group will increase its presence in these markets.
