Toyota completed the year 2019 as the leader in the world automotive market with 8 million 683 thousand 49 sales on a brand basis. Toyota’s popular models Corolla, RAV4 and Camry also completed last year in the first place in their segments.
Toyota Corolla
Corolla, which holds the title of the most preferred car in the world, increased its sales by 5.1 percent compared to 2018 and was at the “peak” with sales of 1 million 247 thousand 589 units.
Corolla has not left any of its leadership epaulets with sales of more than 45 million units since its production in 1966 and an 11.2 percent contraction in its segment, with a market share of 10.2. The presence of the hybrid version of the model has a big effect on Corolla’s success.
Toyota RAV4
At the top of its own segment.
RAV4, which achieved sales of 947 thousand 919 units in 2019, once again embargoed the summit. The first SUV model worldwide, the RAV4, was first introduced in 1994 and is now available for sale in its fifth generation with its hybrid version.
Toyota Camry
